Who We Are

MHM is led by Mark Hutchinson and Laura Creyke; between us we have over fifty years’ experience in PR and management, predominantly in publishing and the arts.

Mark Hutchinson set up MHM in 2010. He has extensive experience managing personal PR for high profile clients, including Nigella Lawson, who he has worked with for 25 years, and as part of the team managing all aspects of PR for J.K. Rowling. He manages global communications for internationally renowned chef and cookery writer Yotam Ottolenghi.

Mark works with digital publisher, Pottermore, and has previously managed and implemented national and international campaigns for major prizes and events, including The BBC Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction and The Man Booker International Prize.

Laura Creyke specialises in PR campaigns for fiction and non-fiction authors, book prizes and arts organisations. Since joining MHM in 2015 she has orchestrated campaigns for food writer Skye McAlpine’s three cookery books, Bryan Ferry’s Lyrics, the UK launch of Australian independent publisher Ultimo Press, and Ravinder Bhogal’s highly praised Comfort & Joy.

Laura has worked with The London Library to raise awareness and audience engagement, and manages PR for the David Cohen Prize, the Gordon Burn Prize and the Jane Grigson Trust Award. She helped launch the Antonio Carluccio Archive and Library at Oxford Brookes University and ran standout campaigns to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ed Victor’s eponymous literary agency and the 20th anniversary of Sam & Sam Clark’s restaurant, Moro. She has worked with many high profile authors including Prue Leith, Sophie Dahl, Claudia Roden, Charlie Higson and Jaqueline Wilson.
