Who We Are

MHM is an independent PR and communications agency, based in London, with expertise in profile management and in creating campaigns for the arts and book publishing.

We specialise in managing media relations for individuals in the public eye and creating impactful full service publicity campaigns for writers, thought-leaders, cultural institutions and literary prizes. We are strategic, thoughtful, and honest. Looking after our clients is our priority.

What We Do

At MHM we have the flexibility to work in a range of ways: on long-term projects, where we work on a retained basis and on shorter-term projects, where we deliver highly-focused, creative campaigns.

Profile Management

Getting to know a client is important to us so that we can assess their particular PR requirements and then devise a programme of media and public relations to suit their individual needs.

Whether this is for your next big launch or across projects for the year ahead, we will apply the same high level of strategic thinking, attention to detail and sensitivity throughout.

Our skills and experience cover every aspect of management from dealing with crises to overseeing and organising events.

Campaign Management

With a wealth of experience across a number of sectors, from publishing to food and drink, across the arts and business world, we have excellent media contacts and thrive on delivering creative publicity campaigns for authors, publishers, arts organisations and prizes.

We take a creative and bespoke approach to each campaign and endeavour to make campaigns time effective by being focused and organised, and by agreeing targets and milestones from the outset.

About MHM

Mark Hutchinson founded MHM in 2011. Hutchinson has extensive experience managing personal PR for high profile clients, including Nigella Lawson, J.K. Rowling (alongside StonehillSalt PR), and Yotam Ottolenghi.

The MHM team has expertise in managing and implementing national and international campaigns. We are currently working with Skye McAlpine on the launch of her second cookbook A Table for Friends, which will be published by Bloomsbury in July, and with The London Library on a range of initiatives to raise awareness of this unique institution.

We have many years’ experience in managing and publicising prizes and recently announced the 2020 winners of the Jane Grigson Trust Award for new food writers.

Over the past couple of years the clients we have worked with include: Orion, Pan Macmillan, Virgin Books, Penguin Life, Bloomsbury Business Books, Sam & Sam Clark, Lord John Browne, and the Wainwright Prize for Nature Writing.
